Design magazine Idea No.401

I was in charge of the text on the theme ‘Saga Design Crossing’. We attempt to document the dots and the present, the transformation of the design seen in Saga, through the following interviews:
A bookstore to be a culture hub and the Good Knowledge initiative which is a series of mainly talk events with people of culture, these are run by designers unit tuii; the story of Takaaki Kitajima, who is also a designer in Saga and runs PERHAPS Gallery; and the activities of Saga Design, an organization in Saga Prefecture. We also wrote this article to serve as an archive of the early days of the design scene in the region in order to follow changes in the future.
